The 750°C Therm-Textil™ kiln car sealing cord from Lippmann is a high-performance solution for sealing kiln doors, burner seals, tunnel kilns and kiln cars in the ceramic and brick industry. Thanks to its high resilience and dimensional stability, it remains stable and tight even at extreme temperatures. These properties make a decisive contribution to the efficiency of energy use and prevent heat loss, which leads to a considerable reduction in costs. Material and variants:

  • Therm-Textil™ sealing cord: The sealing cord consists of texturized and twisted yarns that are reinforced with chrome steel wire. This construction increases the heat resistance up to 900°C.
  • Inner filling: Inside, the sealing cord is equipped with a soft fiber filling, which is available in different variants to meet specific requirements:
  • SiO₂ filling: heat-resistant up to 1200°C
  • CMS-Bio filling: heat-resistant up to 1000°C
  • Silicate mat: Heat-resistant up to 800°C

The Therm-Textil™ sealing cord is available in diameters from 10 to 100 mm and offers a high degree of flexibility for various industrial applications. It can be supplied in standardized lengths of 10 m, with longer lengths available on request. In addition, diameter tolerances are customizable to ensure a perfect fit. This sealing cord is ideal for use in furnace doors, burner seals and many other areas subject to high temperatures.
