Cooling water hoses
Elektrotherm electric hose: Efficient cooling technology for industrial processes with high temperatures
High-quality electrical hose for cooling water applications in high-temperature processes.
The Elektrotherm electrical hose has been specially developed for demanding industrial processes where cooling water applications are required under high temperatures and mechanical loads. With its excellent electrical insulation and exceptional resistance to external influences, it is the ideal choice for induction melting furnaces, electric arc furnaces (EAF) and ladle furnaces (LF).
Its self-extinguishing, electrically non-conductive cover and the smooth, electrically insulating core guarantee a high level of safety during operation. The hose impresses with its long-lasting performance and reliability, even in extreme operating environments.
Advantages of the Elektrotherm electric hose:
- Excellent temperature resistance: The hose can withstand temperatures from -35°C to +80°C, with a short peak resistance up to +100°C for water temperatures.
- High operating and burst pressure: The Elektrotherm electric hose works with an operating pressure of 6 bar, a test pressure of 12 bar and a burst pressure of 18 bar, making it a safe choice for industrial applications.
- Electrical insulation: With an electrical resistance of R > 10¹¹ Ohm and a dielectric strength of > 6 kV, the conduit guarantees maximum safety in electrical applications.
- Self-extinguishing and non-conductive: The cover and core of the hose are self-extinguishing and electrically non-conductive, making it particularly safe and durable.
- UV and ozone resistant: The hose is particularly resistant to UV radiation and ozone, which extends its service life even under external stress.
- Marking for easy installation: The hose is marked lengthwise with the words “Elektrotherm electric hose” in green, making it easy to identify and install.
- Long service life: The Elektrotherm electric hose is characterized by a long service life and reliable performance, even under difficult operating conditions.
- REACH-compliant: The hose complies with all relevant environmental and safety regulations.
Material and properties:
- Core: The core of the hose is made of high-quality EPDM, which is known for its excellent flexibility and resistance to weathering and mechanical stress.
- Print carrier: The print carrier consists of a technical fiber that ensures its high strength and resistance.
- Cover: The cover of the hose is made of EPDM/CR, self-extinguishing and electrically non-conductive. It also offers excellent resistance to UV radiation and ozone.
Areas of application:
- Cooling water hose: Ideal for use as a cooling water hose in high-temperature applications where reliable cooling is essential.
- Water-cooled cables: The hose is also used for water-cooled cables to ensure optimum cooling and safety.
- Induction melting furnaces: The Elektrotherm electric hose is used in induction melting furnaces to support the cooling of the systems.
